Renewals - ILL

If the lending library allows renewals then the patron may request a renewal through their Interlibrary Loan account If the lending library allows renewals then the patron may request a renewal through their Interlibrary Loan account

If the lending library allows renewals then the patron may request a renewal through their Interlibrary Loan account. It is best to do this the day BEFORE the item is due.

 

To submit a renewal request:

  • Sign in to your Interlibrary Loan account

  • Go to checked out items

  • Click on the TN: beside the title and you will be taken to a screen with a renew button on it

  • Click on the RENEW button you will immediately be given a tentative date in red text near the top of the page.

The ILL staff will later confirm this by changing the item status from Renewal Requested back to 'Checked out to Customer'.  If for any reason the lender denies the request you will be notified by the Interlibrary Loan staff.  PLEASE NOTE:  Before you try to request a renewal, check the book strap on your item to see if NO RENEWAL is printed in the note field. If it is,  the item cannot be renewed and must be returned on time.
