The Atkins Library is pleased to announce improvements made to the Atkins Express Book Retrieval Service.  UNC Charlotte Students can now use the "Request" button feature within the catalog to place a request.  Once you click this button and login to your library account, you will be able to easily request the book to be retrieved.  Some guidelines for the book retrieval service are:

• You may place up to five requests on available items. After you have reached this limit of five, you will be able to place additional requests as these items are checked out to you. 

• If an item is checked out, your request will place a recall on that item, not a retrieval.

• You will receive an email notification when the item is ready for pickup at the Circulation Desk.

• Requests submitted on Friday, Saturday or Sunday will be processed the following Monday morning.

• Faculty and Staff should use our Delivery Service to have their items mailed to their campus address

To place a request, do the following:

1. Go to the catalog: http://www.library.uncc.edu/catalog/

2. Look for the following button towards the top of the screen when you are browsing the catalog:

3. After clicking the "Request" button, you will login to your library account

4. After logging in, select the item you want to request, and click on the "REQUEST SELECTED ITEM" button
