Gas Card Winners Announced

The following students are the winners of $25 gas cards as part of the Library's "Feed your body, feed your mind" promotion. They may pick their gas card up at the Information Desk any time by 5pm on Friday, September 12th. The Atkins Library staff hopes that all participants enjoyed the events and to remind students to keep an eye out for the next Snack Attack which will occur in late October.

Library Announces winner of Student Essay Contest

The J. Murrey Atkins Library is pleased to announce that Delphia Nicole Ross, an undergraduate student majoring in English, is the winner of the Student Essay Contest.

Of the 87 submissions, her essay, titled, "A Lesson in Survival," was chosen as the winning submission by the judging panel. Ms. Ross will receive a prize of $1000 for her winning submission and will be formally recognized at the next millionth volume event in October.

Student Essay Contest--Open to all UNCC Students

The J. Murrey Atkins Library is pleased to announce the One Millionth Volume student essay contest as part of the events surrounding the acquisition of the Library's one millionth volume in 2007. We are asking UNC Charlotte students to submit an essay based on a book that has had a significant impact their lives. The deadline for submission is April 10, 2007 and the winner will receive a prize of $1000. Details
